Botox is an FDA-approved neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes targeted muscles to smooth fine lines and wrinkles.

Common areas include forehead lines, crow’s feet, frown lines (11’s), bunny lines, and around the mouth. It can also be used for jaw slimming, neck bands, and excessive sweating.

Results typically last 3–4 months, but can vary depending on metabolism, lifestyle, and dosage.

You may start to notice changes in 3–5 days, with full results around 2 weeks.

Fillers are gel-like substances (often made of hyaluronic acid) injected beneath the skin to restore volume, smooth lines, and enhance facial features.

Common areas: lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, smile lines, under-eyes (tear troughs), and temples.

Depending on the type and area, results last 6–18 months.

Fillers provide instant results, though mild swelling and bruising may take a few days to settle.

A topical numbing agent is applied, and most fillers contain lidocaine for comfort. Some pressure or pinching may be felt.

Minimal. Mild swelling or bruising can occur for a few days. Most clients return to normal activities right away.

A trigger point is a tight band or “knot” in the muscle that can cause localized pain or refer pain to other areas.

A trigger point injection is a quick procedure where a small amount of medication (such as a local anesthetic, sometimes combined with a steroid) is injected directly into the trigger point to relax the muscle and relieve pain.

  • Tension headaches
  • Myofascial pain syndrome
  • Fibromyalgia-related muscle knots

Commonly, a local anesthetic like lidocaine or bupivacaine is used. Sometimes a corticosteroid is added to reduce inflammation.

Many patients feel relief within minutes to hours. For some, it may take a day or two as the muscle relaxes.
